Matthew Cresswell, QAFP, B.Comm
I grew up in Northeast Saskatchewan on my family’s grain farm (photo above of us in action) where I was able to help during the busy seasons and play multiple sports. I went to the University of Saskatchewan where I completed my Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance as well as an Agronomy Diploma.
It was then that I started my career as a financial advisor, working within a team under a global financial company for 3 years. I gained a lot of valuable experience and knowledge as I also completed my Qualified Associate Financial Planner designation in that time frame.
I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and value having flexibility within my schedule. This was factored into my decision to start my company as I continue to spend time on the farm, with my wife and play sports... Although the sports are quite a bit slower these days. I am looking forward to the challenge of running my own business but am most excited to continue servicing new and existing clients with their financial needs.
A modern approach
Another reason I am excited to have created MC Wealth Management is to provide a service that helps my clients reach their financial goals. I have a laid back and casual meeting style where I refrain from “selling”. After learning your individual situation thoroughly I will provide my recommendations and the reasoning behind each one. Because I strive to provide detailed reasoning behind each recommendation, my clients feel confident in their plan while understanding the “why” behind it.
